Pattern in the Forest Series

The Pattern in the Forest Paintings are the end product of a 3-part process. Each painting originated as a plein-air (on-site) drawing, which was used as the basis for a fiber-based collage. The collage was then used as a sketch for these large, vibrant paintings. The paintings are painted on birch panel and are highly detailed and textured.
