Sew Easy: Zippers & Buttons (Intermediate Sewing Workshop)
Ready to level up your sewing skills and add professional finishing touches to your garments? This intermediate workshop is designed for students who are comfortable using a sewing machine and want to master essential techniques like installing zippers and sewing buttons.

🕔 Time: 5:15 PM – 7:00 PM
In this hands-on class, you’ll build on your existing skills and learn how to:
- Install a zipper
- Sew on buttons by machine and by hand
- Create clean, polished closures for garments
- Reinforce seams and finishing details for durability
- Follow and assemble more advanced pattern elements
Students will have the option to create a simple sundress, shorts, or pants, applying zipper and button techniques to a wearable project you’ll be proud of.
This is a small class (limited to 4 students) to ensure personalized instruction and plenty of one-on-one guidance.
Prerequisites:
Students must have completed our Sew Easy for Beginners series or be confident with basic sewing machine skills, including threading the machine, sewing straight seams, and following simple patterns.
Materials Needed:
- 3 yards of your own fabric (non-stretch woven fabric only)
- Matching thread (optional, if you prefer your own)
You’re welcome to use one of our machines or bring your own!
