Paper Embroidery
A little stitching, a little nature, a whole lot of you.
Date: Thursday, July 16th
Time: 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Led By: Lindsey Loughry
Using upcycled materials—including reclaimed fence boards, old cards, and found objects from nature—try your hand at paper embroidery and create a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
You'll choose your favorite embroidery flosses and use provided templates to stitch simple geometric designs onto cardstock.
Natural embellishments will be available (or bring your own!) to add an organic, textural touch. We'll finish by mounting your artwork onto a cedar fence board for you to take home.
About the Instructor
Lindsey Loughry
I like to think of what I do as crafting with a purpose—taking everyday, often overlooked materials and turning them into something beautiful and a little magical. My work centers around upcycling and making art feel accessible to anyone, whether you consider yourself “creative” or not.
Outside of the studio, I’m a mom and work for the U.S. Antarctic Program, where I’ve learned to value simplicity, resourcefulness, and the beauty of the natural world. In my classes, my goal is to help you tap into your creative side, have fun, and maybe see ordinary materials in a whole new way.
