Discover the magic of hydro-dipping and marbling in this colorful, hands-on class! Using specially prepared paints, you'll learn how to create beautiful swirling patterns by floating colors on water and dipping your project through the design. Every piece is completely unique, with no two patterns ever the same.
During the class, we'll do some practice runs to get the feel of it, then you'll create two decorative ornaments and a number of colorful sheets of paper that can then be made into gorgeous handmade cards. Experiment with color combinations, gentle swirls, bold patterns, and unexpected effects as you explore this fun and surprisingly relaxing art technique.
Your finished ornaments will add a handmade touch to your holiday décor, while your one-of-a-kind cards are perfect for sending to friends and family or giving as part of a thoughtful gift.
No experience necessary — all tools and materials are provided. Just wear "play clothes" you don't mind getting a little paint on, and come ready to play with color and create something truly unique!
BONUS: Feel free to bring items from home (extra ornaments, vases, glasses, mugs, napkins, plant pots) to use up any leftover paints in the water!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Jesica Carleton's artistic practice spans a diverse range of media, with a particular focus on mosaic art, where she continually pushes the boundaries of this traditional medium. She also explores various other forms of expression, including glass fusing, ceramics, polymer clay, and metalwork. This eclectic mix of techniques allows her to experiment with textures, colors, and forms, creating works that are as varied as they are innovative — each medium offering a new challenge and an opportunity to blend traditional methods with contemporary creativity.
