When: Tuesday, August 13th, 4-7pm
Where: FREAK'N ART, 1265 NW Wall. st., 97703
What:
Utilize your literary, visual, and paper folding abilities in the expansive medium of self-publishing known as zines!
Local zinesters Heather Kennedy and Rachel Lee-Carman have been doing community outreach through the Bend Zine Library for over a decade. Motivated by the democratizing power of self-publishing, they share their personal stories to inspire others to put vulnerability to page.
With the guidance of their collective experience, paired with inspiring prompts and projects, our class will culminate in a collective zine on a topic of our choosing. We’ll have the opportunity to delve into a subject matter of communal interest while learning techniques to further future endeavors.
All materials included! Just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity!
