Create a self portrait as fabulous as you!
In this class we'll be creating mixed-media self-portraits inspired by the work of contemporary American artist, Mickalene Thomas.
Mickalene Thomas is known for her large-scale, rhinestone-encrusted paintings of black women lounging in domestic interiors. She started using rhinestones in her work because she wanted her paintings to reflect the fabulous nature of the women she was painting.
Who: Kids aged 7-12
All materials are included, so just send your child with a snack and clothes that can get a little messy.
Space is limited to 10 young artists per session, so be sure to sign up soon!
