Introduction to Botanical Illustration with Watercolors

Take a deep dive into botanical illustration with Jeanne Debons. Capture realistic botanical subjects in watercolor through a series of approachable steps. Learn the fundamentals of botanical illustration including an introduction to supplies, drawing techniques, light and shadow, color mixing, and watercolor application. All required materials will be provided.
Instructor: Jeanne Debons
Jeanne Debons holds a Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Pathology and earned a diploma in Botanical Illustration from the English Gardening School. Combining her scientific background with artistic training, she brings a deep understanding of plants to her work. Jeanne teaches widely and has exhibited her work in local shows. Her method follows the structured, multi-step technique developed by Anne Marie Evans, ideal for beginners.
