Introduction to Botanical Illustration with Graphite

Take a deep dive into botanical illustration with Jeanne Debons. Capture realistic botanical subjects using graphite through a series of clear, step-by-step techniques. Learn the fundamentals of botanical illustration including an introduction to materials, drawing methods, understanding light and form, and working with graphite. All required materials will be provided.
Instructor: Jeanne Debons
Jeanne Debons holds a Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Pathology and earned a diploma in Botanical Illustration from the English Gardening School. Combining her scientific background with artistic training, she brings a deep understanding of plants to her work. Jeanne teaches widely and has exhibited her work in local shows. Her method follows the structured, multi-step technique developed by Anne Marie Evans, ideal for beginners.
