Reduction Printmaking – Teen Art Camp
Dive into the world of reduction printmaking in this immersive, multi-day workshop designed just for teens!
When: Tuesday–Thursday, August 11–13 | 1:00–3:00 PM
Who: Ages 13–17
Where: FREAK'N ART, 1265 NW Wall St., Bend, OR
Led by artist Anastasia Zielinski
In this three-day workshop, artists will learn how to create one-of-a-kind, limited-edition prints using the reduction printmaking technique.
This process builds rich, layered images by printing multiple colors from a single linoleum block. With each layer, artists carve away more of the block to reveal the next stage of their design—meaning no two prints are ever exactly the same. By the final session, only the darkest lines and shapes remain on the block, and the edition is complete—making each print truly unique and impossible to reproduce.
Participants will explore carving techniques, color layering, and composition while developing their own personal imagery across the series.
Each artist will leave with a small edition of their own handcrafted prints and a deeper understanding of this striking printmaking process.
All materials are included.
