Fused Glass Hearts

With Jesica Carleton of Carleton Manor Mosaics

When: Thursday, February 12th
Where: 5:30 - 7:00pm

Fall in love with glass in this Beginning Fused Glass class with glass artist Jesica Carleton, featuring a special Valentine’s Day focus on creating heart-themed pieces. This beginner-friendly class introduces the basics of working with fused glass, including cutting, layering, and designing with colorful glass, frit, and stringers. Jesica’s warm, encouraging teaching style makes the process accessible and fun, even if you’ve never worked with glass before. You’ll design and assemble your own heartfelt creation—perfect as a gift or keepsake—which will be kiln-fired after class and ready for pickup later. All tools and materials are provided, and display options will be discussed; just bring your creativity and enjoy a playful, love-filled introduction to fused glass.

Artist Statement:

My artistic practice spans a diverse range of media, with a particular focus on mosaic art, where I continually push the boundaries of this traditional medium. I also explore various other forms of expression, including glass fusing, ceramics, polymer clay, and metalwork. This eclectic mix of techniques allows me to experiment with textures, colors, and forms, creating works that are as varied as they are innovative. Each medium I work with offers a new challenge and an opportunity to blend traditional methods with contemporary creativity.
